An Average Campaign boons are permanent passive perks. You unlock each one with an achievement, buy it from the Tavern Master in the lobby with Cealts, and bring it into any run. You have 5 boon slots and each boon costs 1 to 5 of them, so every loadout trades power for space.
This page uses the official Trello (boon cards last edited in late 2025), the Roblox game page and player-documented notes for Alpha v0.5.1 through patch 0.5.1.4, checked on October 20, 2026. Where they disagree, we give the newer value. AAC is in Alpha, so numbers change often.
01
How Boons work
- Buy and equip at the Tavern Master's bar. The official Trello confirms he sells boons for Cealts.
- Unlock each regular boon once through its achievement, then buy it.
- Slots: 5 in total. Potential: Bunny fills all of them by itself.
- Prices: regular boons cost 10 Cealts (Trained, Nobility, Inconspicuous) to 300 (Potential: Bunny), per community lists.
- Extras: The Veteran in the lobby hints at every achievement; the Level 1 run modifier switches boons off.
02
Achievement boons vs event boons
The Trello sorts boons into Achievement Boons and Event Exclusive Boons. Achievement boons come from subclass picks, first boss kills, encounter stat checks and milestones such as 100 max HP, and they never expire. The community's regular list (updated October 18, 2026) has 86 entries.
Event boons came from limited-time events and cannot be earned now: Blood Arts and Coagulating Ichor (2025 Bloodmoon event), Will of Thiacdemo (joining on April 1, 2026) and Coming At You Live (April Fools). If you own the Lunaeia race (see races), the Puppet in the lobby sells Imitation versions of the two Bloodmoon boons for 200 Cealts each. The Timestream One-Shot is not limited-time, so its four boons stay earnable; see events.

Tips for the tricky unlocks
Vampiric Bloodline
For Familial Bond, a Mage picks "Allow him to take some of your blood" at An Upsidedown Individual in the Forest. For Go Ahead, Be Negative!, kill any Vampire in the Dungeon. Making the warlock choice again with the boon equipped later counts toward the Lunaeia race.
Potential: Bunny and Potential: Pebble
The bunny must come from the Nature Tome's Summon Bunny and finish Bone Drake, Baby, Dante, Mr. Bones, The Master or The Collector; the boon's own Bunny? does not count. For Pebble, a pebble from a Mage's Summon Pebble scroll must finish a P.E.B.B.L.E., which only Goblin Engineers summon.
Jack of All Trades
Trainers are the subclass NPCs you can fight instead of learning from, so the Trello suggests a mixed-class party of three or more. Its cost fell from 3 slots to 1 across v0.4 and v0.4.3.
The Chosen One
As a Warrior, Rampager, Grudge Settler or Jack of All Trades, pick "Give it a nice little tug" in The Sword in the Stone. Players report a flat 5% chance. Full steps: Sword in the Stone guide.
Overtime, Critical Overdrive and skill checks
For Overtime, chip the Giant but hold the kill until turn 12 passes. For Critical Overdrive, push crit chance over 100% until a crit procs twice (magenta marker); the Trello suggests Drifter. Community odds: the Fortitude CON check is 5% plus 1% per CON, the Natural 20 coin flip 25% plus 0.75% per LCK. Nedyak opens with a 10-turn Doom on your party, so kill him fast.

What changed in Alpha v0.5.1
The v0.5.1 notes (September 15, 2026) count 4 new event boons and 3 new boons without naming them. The new Den bounty fights unlock Charted, Chain of Command, Drowned Thunder and Pay to Win; a v0.5.1 overview video confirms Chain of Command and Pay to Win. Timestream bosses give Baleful Gaze, Underhanded Tactics, Accelerate Time and Destined Path: Hero of Elfkin, which works only for Elven races.
Balance: The Chosen One went from 4 to 3 slots and lost its 5 STR, but its skill check bonus rose from 20% to 25%. Underdog was nerfed in 0.5.1.2, and Force of Will no longer stops true-lethality moves.

Best boons by class (editorial, as of Alpha v0.5.1)
Our October 2026 picks fill 5 slots and follow from the kit and boon numbers above; for class rankings see the tier list.
- Mage: Mage Birthsign plus Honed Mind. Birthsign multiplies INT and adds an early scroll; the Trello calls it a must-have. Necromancers swap Honed Mind for Summoner Supreme; if you keep dying, take Force of Will and Alert.
- Warrior: Thick Hide, Elven Skin, Perseverance and Force of Will, which trim physical, force and low-HP damage for a tank. Take The Chosen One when hunting the Linked Sword.
- Rogue: Critical Overdrive, Keen Eye and Weak Points, the crit trio the Trello pairs together.
- Brawler: Vampiric Bloodline plus Critical Overdrive; the Trello notes the Predation node adds lifesteal and Sweep makes a strong turn-one crit. Elementalists can run Overtime plus Energy Conserver and set up stances first.
- Priest: party Druids take Selfless Heart, Cleansing and Inconspicuous, since their regeneration triggers Cleansing. Zealots take Divine Retribution plus Energy Conserver for holy damage and costly skills.
- Ranger: Hunter Eyes, which triggers off your own Hunter's Mark, plus Keen Eye, Weak Points, Alert and Force of Will.
- Bard: Mental Deterioration, Resonant Soul, Selfless Heart and Inconspicuous, matching charms and healing songs.

FAQ
How many boons can you equip in An Average Campaign?
Five slots' worth. A boon uses 1 to 5 slots, so you might run five 1-slot boons or a 3-slot plus a 2-slot.
How do you get Honed Mind?
Defeat Nedyak in the Void Interloper encounter in the Forest, then buy it from the Tavern Master for 30 Cealts.
What is the Test Subject boon?
A 1-slot boon for becoming an Evolved Brawler in the Sewers. It boosts energy gain and cuts damage taken while you have a DoT on you.
Are there secret boons?
None we could confirm. Some unlocks hide behind encounter choices, and The Veteran in the lobby hints at every achievement.
What are the best boons for Mage?
As of Alpha v0.5.1, our pick is Mage Birthsign plus Honed Mind, or Summoner Supreme instead of Honed Mind on a Necromancer.
