This An Average Campaign tier list puts Druid, Zealot and Necromancer at the top as of Alpha v0.5.1 (October 2026), and Priest is the strongest base class to commit to. Druid is the best solo class. Knight plus a Priest subclass makes the safest core for a duo or trio, and Bard of Valor gets much better with three or more players. There is no official ranking, so every placement here is our editorial call, backed by kit and patch facts.

The rankings use the official Trello class and subclass cards, the Roblox game page, and player-documented notes for v0.5.1 through the 0.5.1.4 Anniversary patch, all checked on October 20, 2026. AAC is in Alpha and changes often. The Trello cards also lag behind (last edited April 2026). For example, Rampager's card lists Overpowering Slash at 10 damage, while v0.5.x player notes list 17.

01

How this tier list ranks classes

We scored each subclass on five criteria:

  • Solo viability: summons, self-healing and damage reduction score well.
  • Party value: taunts, party heals and buffs that reach every ally. Community notes say each extra player adds 35% HP to normal enemies, 70% to bosses and 12.5% damage.
  • Scaling: can the damage keep up with that extra HP?
  • Ease of use: unlock timing (Forest trainers come first), stat demands and randomness.
  • Patch direction: net buffs or nerfs in 0.5.1 and the patches after it.

Your choice matters long term because Prestige is a permanent level for each class, and every level grants three skill tree points. Full kits are in the class guides.

02

AAC subclass tier list (Alpha v0.5.1)

TierClass/SubclassWhy
SDruid (Priest)Forest pick. The Bear tanks, Restore Life gives every ally Cleanse and Regeneration, and Nature's Gift boosts physical attacks
SZealot (Priest)Keeps the Priest heals and adds two AoE Holy attacks plus Smite, which was trimmed because Holy is so strong in the Dungeon
SNecromancer (Mage)Eight summons since 0.5.1, and Maintain Worldly Form keeps you or an ally above 0.1 HP, even through DoTs
AKnight (Warrior)A rare AoE taunt (3 turns), and Warlord Strike became undodgeable and unblockable. The Block DR cut in 0.5.1.2 hurts it
AGrudge Settler (Warrior)Buffed overall in 0.5.1 with the new Overheat move. Grudge adds 15% ability damage taken and heals you on kill. No AoE
AGloom Stalker (Ranger)The best boss killer. Umbral Shroud is free and now gives enemies a 10% miss chance
AShade (Rogue)Got the most buffs of any Rogue in 0.5.1 and lands up to 11 hits, but unlocking it takes a hard fight
ABard of Valor (Bard)The best support for 3 or more players, with party ballads and Bravery shields. Weak solo
ARampager (Warrior)Forest pick with an AoE, a stun and Berserk, a free 1.35x damage buff that also makes you take 20% more damage
BArtificer (Mage)Its turret helps solo, but its modules need 25+ in side stats and the kit was reworked in 0.5.1
BBard of Whispers (Bard)Ballad of Dread cuts enemy damage by up to 20%, and its attacks cannot miss, but Psychic Blades was nerfed
BElementalist (Brawler)Meditative Aura gives every ally 1 energy, but 0.5.1 nerfed Way of Fire and slowed the Aura
BEvolved (Brawler)Devour got stronger, but evolving now costs 18% of your current HP, and it's a late Sewer unlock
BFey Wanderer (Ranger)Its free Wisp heals and charms, though 0.5.1 nerfed both the Wisp and Feybomb
BDrifter (Rogue)High Noon adds party crit chance, but the 0.5.1 LCK nerf hurt its crit-heavy kit
BAssassin (Rogue)Gaping Wound makes its DoTs deal 1.25x, but 0.5.1 cut bleed scaling from 0.7 to 0.5
BBloodkin Warlock (Mage)Big self-bleed damage, but Sanguine Surge fell from 30% to 25%
CBeast (Brawler)Still takes 40% more ability damage, while its lifesteal and bleed damage were both cut
COccultist (Priest)Its heals can give allies negative effects, and 5+ Chaos stacks deal true damage to you. Hard unlock
Not rankedProletarius Nox, Proletarius FerrumBloodkin Warlock advancements. We could not verify their full current kits

03

Best base class to pick

RankBase classWhy
1PriestHeals from level 1, plus Druid (Forest) and Zealot (Dungeon)
2WarriorThe default class, with Taunt and Rally and three A-tier subclasses
3MageNecromancer, AoE Lightning Strike, and the only class that can use Spell Scrolls
4RangerRain of Arrows and Giant Slayer, with Gloom Stalker carrying it
5BardMore abilities than any other base class, but its ballads need allies
6RogueShade is gated, and the rest lost value to the DoT and LCK nerfs
7BrawlerAll three subclasses took nerfs or higher HP costs in 0.5.1

New players should read the beginner's guide and start with Priest or Warrior.

04

Best solo class in AAC

Solo, every enemy targets you, so taunts do little and nobody else can heal you. Balance Patch 2 (0.5.1.2) helps: solo enemies now get either 5% less dodge and block chance or two-thirds of their normal values, whichever is lower. Every death adds a stack of Exhaustion (minus 15% max HP, 20% damage and 20% outgoing healing), so survival beats raw damage.

  1. Druid: community players call it one of the few solo-friendly picks. It unlocks early, the Bear soaks hits, and Regeneration heals 2.1 HP plus 3.5% of max HP every turn.
  2. Necromancer: a summon to absorb hits, plus Maintained on yourself since 0.5.1. Patch 0.5.1.1 also made its trainer fight easier solo.
  3. Grudge Settler: heals you when Grudge targets die, and Whispers of the Forge adds free fire damage.
  4. Artificer: the turret draws hits and can heal itself.

Skip Knight and Bard of Valor solo; their tools are built for groups.

05

Best class for duo and trio

  • Duo: pair sustain with damage. Druid plus a physical damage dealer (Rampager, Beast, Drifter or Assassin) works well, because Sacred Armament adds 20% plus a FTH bonus to physical attacks and makes them Holy.
  • Trio: Knight to taunt, Druid or Zealot to heal, and Shade or Gloom Stalker for damage.
  • Four or five players: add Bard of Valor or Elementalist. Their buffs reach every ally, so they gain value as the party grows.

06

Patch changes that moved the rankings

  • 0.5.1 (September 15, 2026): bleed scaling and most toxins were cut, and LCK crit chance scaling dropped from 0.3% to 0.2%. Rallied fell from 25% to 20%. Max Heal now uses the target's max HP.
  • 0.5.1.1 (September 17): Smite dropped from 16.5 to 15 damage, and Artificer modules now unlock at 25 instead of 30.
  • 0.5.1.2 (September 28): innate player Block DR dropped from 50% to 20%, with guarding adding 30%. STR/CON tanks lose the most.
  • 0.5.1.3 (October 2): Occultist was reworked, and Bravery now always cancels Fear.

07

Races and Boons for the top picks

Human, the default race, is a safe pick: an extra stat point every other level from level 3, and 1.05x to your highest stat. Kobold adds 10% lifesteal and 1.1x damage to direct fire damage, so it suits Grudge Settler, Elementalist in Way of Fire and Mage's Flame Bolt. Withered regenerates 8% of missing HP every turn, which helps solo. See races.

For Boons, summoners get the most from Summoner Supreme (1.25x summon HP and 1.1x summon damage, 2 of your 5 slots). Frontliners like Fortitude, which cuts damage from status effects to 0.7x. The full list is on the Boons page.
