There are seven an average campaign stats: STR, DEX, CON, INT, FTH, CHA and LCK. Each level gives you 3 points to spend in the Invest Points menu, and each point adds small fixed bonuses to crits, block, dodge, HP, healing, Energy Gain, aggro or loot. Initiative sets turn order, and Focus is a combat action whose known cost is the Focused debuff: 30% more damage taken.
This page combines the official Trello "Levels & Stats" card (last updated November 2025), the Roblox game page and player-documented notes for v0.5.1 through 0.5.1.4, all checked on October 20, 2026. AAC is in Alpha, and several values have already changed since the Trello card.
01
What each stat does in An Average Campaign
The middle column is current according to v0.5.1 community notes. The Trello column only shows values that differ.
| Stat | Per point (v0.5.1 notes) | Trello card, if different | Built by |
|---|---|---|---|
| STR (Strength) | +0.125% Crit Chance, +0.15% Crit Damage, Block Chance (diminishing) | +0.2% Crit Damage, +0.375% Block Chance | Warrior, Brawler |
| DEX (Dexterity) | +0.15% Crit Chance, +0.2% Crit Damage, Dodge Chance (diminishing), Initiative | +0.25% Crit Damage, +0.175% Dodge | Rogue, Brawler, Ranger |
| CON (Constitution) | +1 Max HP, +0.15% Incoming Healing, Block DR (diminishing) | +0.25% Incoming Healing, +0.375% Block DR | Warrior, Priest |
| INT (Intelligence) | +0.2% Energy Gain, +0.075% Crit Chance, +0.1% Crit Damage | +0.15% Crit Damage | Mage, Ranger |
| FTH (Faith) | +0.15% Energy Gain, +0.7% Outgoing Healing | +0.2% Energy Gain | Priest |
| CHA (Charisma) | -0.15% Aggro, +0.15% Energy Gain, +0.3% Outgoing Healing, +0.1% Incoming Healing | not on the card | Bard |
| LCK (Luck) | +0.225% Crit Chance, +0.3% Crit Damage, +0.2% Lucky Drop | +0.3% Crit Chance, +0.5% Crit Damage, no Lucky Drop | Rogue |
Energy Gain is the chance of extra Energy at the start of your turn. Lucky Drop raises the chance of bonus loot. CHA is the Bard's scaling stat.
Dated changes from player-recorded patch notes:
- v0.4.5 (June 21, 2026): CON Incoming Healing went from 0.25% to 0.15%.
- v0.5.1 (September 15, 2026): LCK went from 0.3% to 0.2% Crit Chance and from 0.4% to 0.3% Crit Damage.
- v0.5.1.2 (September 28, 2026): LCK Crit Chance went up to 0.225%, and innate Block DR dropped from 50% to 20%.
We found no patch note for the other differences. Treat the newer numbers as current.
02
Stat points per level and Invest Points
Every level up gives 3 stat points. You spend them in the Invest Points interface, and its number shows how many you have left. The Trello card says you also gain 3 HP per level, but v0.5.x player notes list 2 Max HP.
- Human, the default race, gets an extra point every other level from level 3, and its highest stat gets 1.05x.
- Stat multipliers multiply each other. Mage Birthsign, a maxed Mage skill tree and Human give 1.1 × 1.1 × 1.05 = 1.2705x INT.
03
Crit chance, crit damage and Recursive Critical
Crit Chance is rolled on each instance of damage. Crit Damage is the crit multiplier, which community testing puts at a 130% base. STR, DEX, INT and LCK add to both.
Above 100% Crit Chance, every hit crits, and the extra is your chance at a Recursive Critical (140% gives a 40% chance). A recursive crit adds 60% of your bonus Crit Damage, the part above 100%, as another multiplier. In player testing, a 10-damage hit with 180% Crit Damage and 135% Crit Chance deals 18 normally and 26.6 on the 35% recursive roll. Recursive crits show a magenta star instead of yellow.
The Natural 20 boon rewrites this: Crit Chance is set to 5%, base Crit Damage to 200%, and crits become undodgeable. See Boons.
04
Block, dodge and diminishing returns
Each hit of a multi-hit attack rolls block and dodge separately. A dodge cancels the damage and its status effects. A block cuts damage by your Block DR, which starts at 20% since v0.5.1.2. Guard adds 30% Block DR and blocks every incoming attack.
The Trello card gives one number per point and notes that returns diminish. Here are bonuses calculated from the formulas in player notes:
| Points in the stat | Block Chance from STR | Dodge from DEX | Block DR from CON |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | +3.6% | +1.8% | +1.9% |
| 25 | +7.9% | +3.9% | +4.3% |
| 50 | +13.5% | +6.5% | +7.6% |
| 100 | +21.7% | +10.0% | +12.5% |
The curves level off toward +80% block, +25% dodge and +40% Block DR. Dodge is capped at 80%. Negative totals are linear: -0.4% block per STR, -0.2% dodge per DEX and -0.22% Block DR per CON. In solo runs, enemies lose 5% dodge and block or drop to two thirds of it, whichever cuts more.
05
What does Initiative do?
Initiative decides turn order at the start of combat. You roll within a range, and both ends of it rise by 1 for every 3 levels and every 20 DEX. The Trello card and current notes agree on this. Summons always act last, in the order they were summoned.
- Alert boon: +3 Initiative, plus 2 turns of +5% block and dodge when combat starts. The Quick Feet achievement, for rolling 10 or more, unlocks it.
- Bulk Up boon: +10 starting HP, -3 base Initiative.
06
What does Focus do in An Average Campaign?
Focus is a combat action, like Guard. The Trello and the v0.5.1 notes agree on its cost: using Focus gives you the Focused debuff, and you take 1.3x damage while it lasts. The Trello treats Focus as a setup move, and its Honed Mind card suggests Focus into Curse Flux as an early Mage combo. Neither source gives an exact number for what Focus adds, so check the in-game tooltip.
- Honed Mind (2-slot boon, unlocked by beating Nedyak): Focused lasts one extra turn, you deal 1.15x damage, and you take 1.25x instead of 1.3x.
- Goblin Thinking Cap (5 DEX, 5 INT, 5 LCK): its Hardly Thinking passive gives Fleetfooted for 1 turn when you focus.
Focus is safest when enemies are busy with someone else, such as a Warrior who has used Taunt.

Skill checks: faith check, CON check and more
Some encounter choices ask the character you pick to pass a skill check. The success chance is a base value plus a fixed rate per point of that character's stat.
| Stat | Encounter (area) | Success chance | First chance / guaranteed |
|---|---|---|---|
| STR | Busted Caravan (Forest) | -10% + 3.5% per point | 3 / 32 |
| STR | Gemstone Hall (Mines) | -25% + 2.5% per point | 11 / 50 |
| STR | Investigate Toxic Waters (Sewer) | -30% + 2% per point | 16 / 65 |
| DEX | Wizard Tower (Forest) | -10% + 3% per point | 4 / 37 |
| DEX | Deadend Saloon duel, Drifter only (Dungeon) | -100% + 1.5% per point | 67 / 134 |
| CON | A Dwarven Artifact (Mines) | 5% + 1% per point | 0 / 95 |
| INT | Potion Seller (Forest) | 20% + 4% per point | 0 / 20 |
| INT | A Dwarven Engineer (Mines) | -62.5% + 2.5% per point | 26 / 65 |
| INT | Strange Glyphs (Sewer) | -30% + 2% per point | 16 / 65 |
| FTH | The Altar (Dungeon) | -75% + 1.5% per point | 51 / 117 |
| CHA | A Peculiar Camp (Forest) | 5% + 2.5% per point | 0 / 38 |
| CHA | Lost Dog (Sewer) | 5% + 1.5% per point | 0 / 64 |
| LCK | Carnival (Dungeon) | 25% + 0.75% per point | 0 / 100 |
These are community values. The Trello matches them except on Busted Caravan (10% plus 3.5% per STR). The Chosen One boon makes stats 25% more effective in checks, and Natural 20 gives a 5% chance to pass any check.
08
Ability damage, aggro and Artificer side stats
Most abilities deal Base × (1 + Stat × Scaling), with one term per scaling stat. A 10-damage ability with 2% STR scaling deals 20 at 50 STR. The damage type, such as Physical or Force, only matters against enemy modifiers. The Trello lists Gelatinous enemies at +30% Force damage taken, for example.
Your chance of being targeted is your aggro divided by the party's total. Each hit you take multiplies your aggro by 0.6 until the next turn, down to 0.15. CHA lowers aggro.
The Artificer, a Mage subclass (see classes), builds INT plus a side stat. Any non-INT stat at 25 or higher unlocks a turret module. v0.5.1 set the threshold at 30, and v0.5.1.1 lowered it to 25. The LCK module, Overclock, has a 50% fail chance, minus 0.75% per LCK, down to 5% at 60 LCK.
