An Average Campaign events, which the game calls Encounters, are the choices you get after each fight: three random options drawn from your current area. They hold the subclass trainers, shops, skill checks, free stat points, Boon unlocks and boss fights, and two of them open the optional Dwarven Mines and Sewer. The tables below list each one by area with its rewards.
This page is based on the official Trello board, the Roblox game page and player-documented notes for Alpha v0.5.1, all checked on October 20, 2026. Values change between patches; where the April 2026 Trello cards and newer community notes disagree, we use the newer data and say so.
01
How events work
After each round you pick one of three Encounters, or instead Scavenge (three rolls on the area's loot table) or take a Short Rest (a 40% heal and one Exhaustion stack removed, or an extra stat point). Each event has a weight, and some only appear in certain rounds. Community weight tables show two ways to tilt the pool:
- Each base class in the party adds weight to its own trainers.
- Having certain items adds weight: Friendship Bracelet (trainers), Adventurer's Compass (Elven Camp and Ominous Manhole), Challenge Medal (boss events), Summoning Star (Portal in the Dungeon) and Wanted Posters (bounties).
Skill checks roll against the stat of the player you pick.
02
Subclass trainers
Each trainer teaches one subclass to its base class (see classes).
| Base class | Forest | Dungeon | Mines or Sewer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | A Powerful Stranger (Rampager) | Knight's Caravan (Knight) | A Dwarven Slayer (Grudge Settler) |
| Rogue | Strange Man (Assassin) | Lone Drifter (Drifter) | none |
| Mage | An Upsidedown Individual (Bloodkin Warlock) | A Travelling Necromancer (Necromancer) | A Kobold Inventor (Artificer) |
| Priest | A Resting Druid (Druid) | A Single Zealot (Zealot) | Cult Ritual (Occultist) |
| Brawler | A Meditating Man (Elementalist) | A Wild Beast (Beast) | A Vat of Acid (Evolved) |
| Ranger | Fey Wanderer (Fey Wanderer) | Nightstalker (Gloom Stalker) | none |
| Bard | A Travelling Bard (Bard of Valor) | An Ominous Cliff (Bard of Whispers) | none |
Skipping the subclass usually still pays. A Powerful Stranger gives 1 Stat Point and 1.5% Block Chance, Knight's Caravan 1 Stat Point and 2% Block Damage Reduction, Strange Man +3% Crit Chance for the run, Lone Drifter a Sand In a Bottle, and the Bloodkin blood pact 2 Stat Points for 10 HP. Attacking a trainer starts a fight instead: The Hero, The Drifter, or the Ancient Vampire that players call Dio.
03
Forest events
| Event | What happens | Reward / notes |
|---|---|---|
| Grandma's House | Eat a random sweet, or fight Granny | Good: +10 Max HP, 2 Stat Points, 3% Crit Chance, Psyched or the Ourpled Boon. Bad: -10 Max HP, big damage, Poison, Fractured or baldness |
| Elven Camp | A wager against the dwarves | Rounds 4–7 at weight 20, against 2 for most Forest events; beat Captain Grimbly's camp to enter the Mines |
| Void Interloper | A portal, rounds 3–8 | Fight Nedyak for the Honed Mind Boon and a Changeling Soul |
| Man in a Suit | Red or blue potion | Weight 0.05, the rarest event; red kicks the party from the server (Neo achievement), blue gives Energized |
| Mystic River | A rest stop | Full heal, a Vial of Magical Water, or flowers, carp and slime |
| Wizard Tower | Free item or a DEX theft | Spell scrolls or a Gemstone Staff; a failed theft starts a fight |
| A Familiar Kobold | Zatt's Quest, rounds 2–6 | Red Scales, a Gemstone and a Dungeon follow-up |
| Busted Caravan, Potion Seller, A Peculiar Camp | STR, INT and CHA checks | The caravan pays 50 Gold and a Fancy Monocle; the camp charges a 67-gold goblin toll |
The Forest shops are Wanderer's Wares, Travelling Merchant and The Gob-Stop. The Sword in the Stone is rare at weight 1 and has its own Sword in the Stone guide.
04
Dungeon events
| Event | What happens | Reward / notes |
|---|---|---|

| The Altar | A glowing statue | Kneel for 1 Stat Point, or pray (FTH check, -75% plus 1.5% per FTH) for 3 |

| Overgrown Room | Thorny flowers | -10 HP for the Thornmail Boon |
| Portal in the Dungeon | Needs a Summoning Star | Accept: -20% max HP, +5 Stat Points, Voidtouched Boon. Resist: void fights ending with the Herald of The Void (Voidscorched Boon) |
| Ominous Manhole | Rounds 3–8, weight 20 | Enters the Sewer |
| The Den | A 100-gold door | Pasta for a full heal, Energized and 2+ Stat Points; also the bounty board |
| A Strange Ghost, The Prisoner | A key chain | 1 Ectoplasm buys a Mysterious Key that opens Mr Bones's cell |
| A Challenger in the Dark, A Dark Mirror | Boss events | Devilman; The Master (rounds 4–12), whose deal applies Claimed Soul |
| Crimson Forge, An Ancient Envoy | Vampire halls, rounds 4–12 | Bloodkin Warlocks advance to Proletarius Ferrum or Proletarius Nox |
| A Strange Aura | Weight 1, rounds 3–12 | Summons the Baby |
The Dungeon shops are The Silent Butcher, Grob's Emporium and The Unblinking Eyes, which always stocks a Summoning Star (Nedyak's Changeling Soul also crafts one).
A Strange Aura and the Baby
Community notes give the Baby 169 HP solo (642 for five players), an opening Chaos Cut End that hits everyone for 67 and repeats every six turns, and a passive that copies most effects you apply back onto the party. It drops a Chaotic Soul, 90 Gold and 270 XP. More on the bosses page.
05
Dwarven Mines and Sewer events
The Mines are a seven-stage Forest detour behind Elven Camp; beating their boss unlocks the Dwarf race. Kobold Cove is the Mines shop, not a separate area.
| Mines event | What happens | Reward / notes |
|---|---|---|
| A Kobold Uprising | Kobolds on strike | Back them against the dwarves for the Underdog Boon |
| A Dwarven Artifact | CON check | +10 or more to your highest stat, -5 to your lowest; failure poisons you |
| A Dwarven Engineer, Gemstone Hall | INT and STR checks | The fixed robot attacks you; the gem gives Rock Fragments and Gemstones |
| Intimidating Divinity | A paladin, round 3 onward | 40% heal, or fight Grandmaster Knight Peranil |
The Sewer is a five-stage Dungeon detour behind Ominous Manhole, with Rattius and Rathaniel as its shop.
| Sewer event | What happens | Reward / notes |
|---|---|---|
| Lost Dog | CHA check | Adopt the dog for the As One Boon |
| Strange Glyphs | INT check, Elves skip it | 100 Gold |
| Investigate Toxic Waters | STR check | Catch the fish, or swim for the Radioactive achievement |
06
Quests, bounties and races
- Zatt's Quest: after A Familiar Kobold, the Dungeon can offer A Familiar Kobold!, a three-wave battle beside Zatt that unlocks the Kobold race.
- Bounties: in The Den, choose "Unless?" and take at least two: Raphne (Nyvari Outlaw), Antonio Seven Scales (Kobold Mafia) and Mizukari (Noctrian Ronin). Beating two in one run unlocks the Nyvari race; a creator covers it on YouTube.
- Withered: beat The Master in A Dark Mirror, accept his deal, then beat the Bone Drake that run.
Full requirements are on the races page; event Boons are on Boons.

Where the Trello is out of date
The official Trello's Events list (47 cards) dates from April 2026, and many cards are empty templates. Against v0.5.1 player notes:
- Portal in the Dungeon: the Trello card lists +5 Stat Points and -10 Max HP; current notes list -20% max HP, +5 Stat Points and the Voidtouched Boon.
- A Strange Ghost: Trello asks for 2 Ectoplasm; current notes say 1.
- Busted Caravan: Trello pays 30 gold; current notes list 50 Gold and a Fancy Monocle, and a lower base success chance.
- The Altar: Trello says it revives teammates for gold; we could not confirm that.
- Forest Sub Area: Caves: this card is empty; current notes name the Dwarven Mines as the Forest sub-area.
The skill check formulas for Deadend Saloon, Carnival, Wizard Tower, Potion Seller and The Altar still match.
08
Limited-time and seasonal events
- Halloween 2025: its Trello card says it ran October 31 to November 14, 2025: a pumpkin sent you after Cauldro the Terrible without your Boons or skill tree, for the Cauldron Head accessory.
- Blood Moon and April Fools 2026: past events; Blood Moon arrived in v0.4 (December 2025) and April Fools rewarded the now-unobtainable Robloxian race.
- Anniversary (v0.5.1.4): joining on October 10, 2026 gave 100 Cealts and an achievement unlocking two outfits and three accessories, one of them The Baby.
- Timestream Entanglement One-Shot: the only event that is not limited-time; its true ending unlocks the Drakai race.
As of October 20, 2026 we found no announced Halloween 2026 event. Watch the Roblox game page and the channels in our Trello and Discord guide.

FAQ
What does A Powerful Stranger do in An Average Campaign?
He is the Forest Warrior trainer: Warriors learn Rampager, anyone can train for 1 Stat Point and 1.5% Block Chance, and attacking him starts The Hero fight.
How do you get the Baby in AAC?
Pick A Strange Aura in the Dungeon between rounds 3 and 12. Its weight is only 1, but a Challenge Medal raises it.
How do you win the Deadend Saloon duel?
A Drifter must call it, and the duelist's DEX decides it: community notes put the first chance at 67 DEX and a sure win at 134.
What happens at Grandma's House?
You can leave, fight Granny, or eat a sweet with a random effect, good or bad.
How do you get to the Dwarven Mines?
Pick Elven Camp in Forest rounds 4 to 7, accept the wager, defeat the dwarf camp and continue into the mines.
