Warrior is the default STR/CON class in An Average Campaign, and each warrior subclass an average campaign offers comes from a trainer met mid-run: Rampager in the Forest, Knight in the Dungeon and Grudge Settler in the Dwarven Mines. Rampager is the greatsword damage pick, Knight is the tank with an all-enemy taunt, and Grudge Settler is a single-target fire hammer that heals off kills. You must still be a base Warrior when you take the trainer's offer.
This page is built from the official Trello cards, the Roblox game page and player-documented notes for Alpha v0.5.1 through patch 0.5.1.4, checked on 2026-10-20. The game is in Alpha and values change often. For the other classes, see the class overview.
01
Warrior base kit and stats
Warrior is selected automatically the first time you join and starts with the Simple Sword (3 STR). The official Trello card calls it a melee fighter that buffs the party while soaking damage. STR adds crit chance, crit damage and Block Chance; CON adds Max HP, incoming healing and Block Damage Reduction (see the stats guide).
| Level | Ability | Energy / Cooldown | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Strike | 0 / 0 | 6 Physical, STR and DEX scaling, most weapons |
| 1 | Cross Slash | 2 / 4 | Two 8-damage hits, needs a Sword |
| 3 | Taunt | 1 / 5 | 3 turns of Taunted on one enemy |
| 5 | Rally | 3 / 6 | 3 turns of Rallied on all allies |
Taunted forces the enemy to attack you and cuts its damage to anyone else to 0.8x. Rallied gives 20% more damage (25% before v0.5.1) and 0.9x damage taken. Community notes for patch 0.5.1.2 also cut innate Block DR from 50% to 20%, while Guarding adds 30%, so guard on purpose instead of relying on passive blocks.
02
Warrior skill tree
Each Prestige level (your permanent class level) gives 3 skill points, and a node needs 3 of its 5 ranks before its neighbors open. Per rank, the player-documented tree gives:
- Demanding Presence: 3% more enemy aggression toward you
- Unbreakable Guard: 1% Block Chance
- Conqueror's Basics: 2% total STR and CON, multiplicative
- HP: 2 Max HP
- Stat Points: 1 extra starting stat point
- Everlasting: 3% less status effect damage
- Iron Defenses: 1% Block Damage Reduction
Editorial, as of Alpha v0.5.1 (October 2026): Conqueror's Basics and Stat Points help every subclass, while Demanding Presence only suits a Knight.
03
Warrior subclasses at a glance

|---|---|---|---|
| Rampager | Forest, A Powerful Stranger: approach, then "Pay attention to his teachings" | Greatsword damage with area hits | Brutal Slashes, Ravage, Berserk, Cleaving Blow, Overpowering Slash |

04
How to unlock each subclass
Community encounter tables say being a Warrior raises the weight of A Powerful Stranger and Knight's Caravan by 7 and A Dwarven Slayer by 5. The Friendship Bracelet adds 5 more and, since v0.5.1, is always sold by the Travelling Merchant.
- Rampager: trained by The Hero. The official Rampager card confirms the Forest location and the swap from Simple Sword to Greatsword (10 STR, 4 CON). Unlocks the Overkill boon.
- Knight: trained by the Knight General; the Knight's Caravan card shows the dialogue. Unlocks Perseverance.
- Grudge Settler: trained by Slayer Captain Thorgrim Ironhammer. The Mines are an optional Forest sub-area reached by fighting the Dwarves at the Elven Camp encounter. It is newer than the Trello board, so details come from community notes. Starts with the Pyrrhite Maul (10 STR, 4 CON) and unlocks Spiteful.
The "train" choices give 1 stat point plus 1.5% Block Chance (The Hero) or 2% Block DR (the knights) instead. Fighting a trainer drops a crafting soul, and beating The Hero or the Knight General unlocks an outfit.

Rampager
- Lv 1 Brutal Slashes: two 8.5-damage hits, 2 energy, 1 Bleed per hit since v0.5.1.

The Trello card still shows the old order, with Berserk under its old name, Provoking Roar.
Knight
- Lv 1 Declaration of War: 1 energy, 2 Thunder damage to all enemies, 3 turns each of Taunted and Demoralized (5% less damage). Can't be dodged, blocked or missed.

The Knight card shows older values, such as a 2-turn taunt.
Grudge Settler

- Lv 3 Settle the Score: 13 Fire with Crippled, Enfeebled (15% less ability damage) and Burn.
- Lv 4 Overheat: new in v0.5.1, a cheap fire hit that also burns you.

- Lv 8 Whispers of the Forge: free self-buff; physical, fire or burn-applying attacks deal an extra 2 plus 15% as Fire, but you burn too.
Most moves also give you Steam: each stack adds 3% outgoing and 2% incoming ability damage. For gameplay, see KeenTheDude's Grudge Settler video.
06
Is Knight or Rampager better?
Editorial, as of Alpha v0.5.1 (October 2026): party size decides it.
Pick Rampager solo, in a duo, or when your party lacks damage. It has five subclass moves to Knight's three, two of them hit several enemies, and Berserk is a big multiplier. The cost is fragility and 4-energy finishers.
Pick Knight in parties of three or more. Enemy HP and damage scale with each extra player, and Declaration of War is the only all-enemy taunt in the Warrior line, so you can pull a whole wave off your healer. Warlord Strike's Fractured also boosts everyone's damage on that target. Solo, the taunt has no one to protect.
Grudge Settler sits between them: strong boss damage and self-healing, but no area attack and a detour through the Mines. The tier list compares all three with other classes.
07
Best Warrior builds, boons and weapons
Editorial picks as of Alpha v0.5.1 (October 2026), based on each kit's scaling. You get 5 boon slots; the boons page covers unlocks.
- Rampager: all-in STR, since every Rampager move scales off STR only. Boons: Overkill (2 slots, half of excess kill damage hits a random enemy), Shock Absorption (2 slots, damage buff when you block or Guard), Thick Hide (1 slot, 0.925x physical damage).
- Knight: CON first, then STR, since Declaration and Bulwark Rush lean on CON. Boons: Perseverance (2 slots, 0.9x damage taken under 50% HP), Fortitude (2 slots, 0.7x status damage), Thick Hide.
- Grudge Settler: mostly STR with some CON. Boons: Spiteful (2 slots, the first enemy to hit you gets Grudge), Steam Engine (2 slots, fire abilities give you Steam), Thick Hide.
Rampager abilities need a Greatsword, Grudge Settler attacks need a Hammer, and Warrior and Knight use Swords. Strong upgrades include Giant's Greatsword (16 STR, 8 CON, minus 10 DEX), crafted from the Forest boss's soul, and the Crystaline Hammer (20 STR, 5 CON), a Mines craft. Warriors can also try for the Linked Sword; see the Sword in the Stone guide. Full stats are on the weapons page.
08
Solo Warrior tips
- Solo enemies have less HP and damage, and lose 5% or a third of their Dodge and Block Chance, whichever is more (since 0.5.1.2).
- Skip Taunt when alone; nobody else can be hit.
- Guard when low. Each death adds Exhaustion: minus 15% Max HP and 20% damage per stack.
- Grudge Settler sustains well alone: mark the enemy you will kill next so its death heals you.
