This Brawler guide for An Average Campaign covers the unarmed STR and DEX class that stacks self-buffs, then pours multi-hit fist damage into one target. Brawler starts with Simple Gauntlets and can become Elementalist in the Forest, Beast in the Dungeon, or Evolved in the Sewer. Below are the kit, skill tree, fist weapons, unlock routes and dated build picks.
This page draws on the official Trello cards for Brawler, its subclasses and their encounters, the official Roblox game page, and player-documented notes for Alpha v0.5.1, all checked on 2026-10-20. The Trello board was last edited in April 2026, so where newer community notes disagree, we say so. AAC is in Alpha and numbers change often.
01
Brawler base kit and stats
The official Trello card says Brawler builds STR and DEX. Both add crit chance and crit damage; STR also adds block chance, while DEX adds dodge chance and a wider Initiative roll (see stats). Simple Gauntlets give 2 STR and 1 DEX and no ability.
| Ability | Level | Energy / Cooldown | Effect (v0.5.1 notes) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strike | 1 | 0 / 0 | 6 Physical, 2% STR and 1% DEX scaling |
| Sweep | 1 | 1 / 4 | 10 Physical, 1.5% STR and DEX, 3 Crippled (halves dodge) |
| Barrage | 3 | 2 / 4 | 5 Physical x3, 1.25% STR and DEX |
| Psych Up | 5 | 1 / 5 | 3 turns of Psyched: 35% more damage, additive |
The Trello card is older: it lists Psych Up at level 3, Barrage at level 5 with 5.2 damage per hit, and Psyched at 25%. Community notes say v0.4.2 raised Psyched to 35% and v0.4.6 (August 2026) swapped the unlock levels. All three subclasses keep Sweep, Barrage and Psych Up.
02
Brawler skill tree
Skill points come from Prestige, your permanent level in a class, at 3 points per level. The Trello skill tree card prices Prestige 1 to 25 in Cealts, 1,625 in total. Community notes list these nodes:
- Left: Clear Mind (+1% energy gain per rank) and Heavy Handed (+1.5% crit damage per point).
- Middle: Battle Prowess (2 turns of 0.85x damage taken at combat start), HP (+2 Max HP per point) and Stat Points (+1 starting stat point per point).
- Right: Bloodlust (+0.8% lifesteal per point) and Precise Punches (+2% multiplicative physical damage per point).
Listed rank costs add up to 75 points, which lines up with 25 Prestige levels. You need rank 3 of 5 in a node to open the nodes next to it.
03
Brawler subclasses and how to unlock them
Each subclass needs a base Brawler and comes from one trainer encounter. Community encounter tables list a Brawler weight bonus for all three, so Brawler parties see them far more often.
| Subclass | How to unlock | Playstyle | Key abilities |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elementalist | Forest, A Meditating Man: say hello, ask what an elementalist is, listen, then "Focus and adapt to his lesson on meditation" | Stance-swapping damage plus party support; adds FTH | Elemental Stance (Lv 1), Meditative Aura (Lv 4), Elemental Fist (Lv 6) |
| Beast | Dungeon, A Wild Beast: approach, hear him out, then "Let the beast out..." | STR-leaning burst with lifesteal and Bleed | Unleash (Lv 1), Wild Swipes (Lv 6), Wolf Step (Lv 8) |
| Evolved | Sewer, A Vat of Acid: approach the man, then "Take a plunge in the goop" | DEX-leaning crits, Toxin X and counters | Self-Embodiment (Lv 1), Feral Assailant (Lv 3), Devour (Lv 6), Sucker Punch (Lv 8) |
Watch the last choice: "Lay around, messing with meditation practices" gives a permanent +2% Energy Gain but no subclass. The Sewer is an optional Dungeon sub-area reached through the Ominous Manhole encounter, and community notes say the plunge also rolls one to three random effects, from losing 5 Max HP to gaining 2 Stat Points.
Each encounter also lets you fight the trainer instead, which is a separate branch from the subclass. Community notes list the Monk at 35 HP solo, The Beast at 180 HP solo (it starts Unleashed), and the Super Vagrant at 163 HP solo with 20% lifesteal and up to 50% resistance to damage types that hit him. Their Souls craft trainer gear. Becoming each subclass also unlocks a boon: Energy Conserver, Opportunist or Test Subject.
04
How Elementalist, Beast and Evolved play
Elementalist
v0.5.1 merged the four Ways into one Elemental Stance ability. Fire adds 15% damage and Burn, Water 1.1x damage and +15% Energy Gain, Wind +5% dodge and +15% crit chance, and Earth 0.9x ability damage taken plus 5% Block DR. Meditative Aura (3 energy, 6-turn cooldown) heals the party and grants Energized plus a stance buff; holding all five buffs at once becomes Perfect Harmony. Elemental Fist (4 energy, undodgeable, 20 base damage, 1.85% STR, DEX and FTH) burns, hits three times, crits harder or stuns, by stance. The December 2025 Trello card still shows four separate Ways and 19 damage.
Beast
Unleash (1 energy, 5-turn cooldown) grants 4 turns of Unleashed: 40% more ability damage taken, 20% lifesteal, 15% more damage plus 0.25% per 1% of missing HP, and Bleed on every attack. Wild Swipes hits five times and adds 1% of the target's max HP per hit; Wolf Step adds Bleed. The Trello card shows the November 2025 version (5 turns, 10-turn cooldown), and v0.5.1 cut lifesteal from 25% and damage taken from 50%.
Evolved
Evolved scales DEX first, STR second. Evolution stacks come at turn start, on dodges and on crits, and Self-Embodiment adds 4 for 18% of current HP. At 10 stacks you become Evolved: +10% dodge, +15% crit chance, +20% crit damage, and upgraded moves that spread Toxin X. Devour grants a Stat Point every 3 kills; Sucker Punch taunts and gives you 2 Counter stacks. Evolved has no Trello subclass card; community notes date it to v0.4.1 (March 2026).

Best Brawler builds (editorial)
These picks are editorial, as of Alpha v0.5.1 (October 2026), reasoned from the kit numbers above. You get 5 boon slots; see boons and the tier list.
- Every Brawler: set up Psych Up and Sweep before Barrage. Crippled halves dodge, and each hit of a multi-hit attack rolls dodge separately. Precise Punches and Bloodlust are the safest tree picks.
- Beast: heavy STR, some DEX, with Tooth Knuckles or Gravestone Style. Boons: Vampiric Bloodline (2 slots; lifesteal plus 1.1x incoming healing, but 1.25x fire and holy damage taken), Jagged Edge (2; crits on bleeding targets apply Hemorrhage) and Force of Will (1) for low-HP play.
- Elementalist: even STR, DEX and FTH, matching Elemental Fist's scaling, with Granny's Mits or Monk's Handwraps. Boons: Energy Conserver (2), Energy Cascade (2; the 3-energy Aura banks stacks for your next Fist) and Alert (1). We could not confirm whether Precise Punches still applies once a stance converts your damage.
- Evolved: DEX first, with Toxicspike Claws or Vagrant's Knuckle Dusters. Community players pair it with Daredevil Impulse ("DDI", 3 slots), which stacks damage when you switch damaging moves and, since v0.5.1, can trigger more than once a turn from counters; it costs 10% damage and 1.15x damage taken. Sus Nus covers DDI Evolved boons, gear and races in a September 2026 video. Add Test Subject (1): evolved Self-Embodiment puts Toxin X on you, doubling its bonus.

Solo Brawler tips
- Solo enemies lose a flat 5% dodge and block chance, per community mechanics notes.
- Sustain decides solo runs: Bloodlust and Unleashed lifesteal, Devour's heal on kills, Battle Prowess and Way of Earth.
- Dying adds Exhaustion (-15% Max HP, -20% damage per stack) until you rest or beat an area boss, so do not chase Beast's missing-HP bonus too far.
- Plan your route. Elementalist comes first; Beast means staying base Brawler through the Forest; Evolved needs the Ominous Manhole, which community notes limit to Dungeon rounds 3 to 8.
- Fighting the Super Vagrant? Mix damage types, since his resistance grows per type.
